NURSE AIDE TRAINING
You will gain the knowledge, skills and abilities essential for the provision of basic care to residents in long-term care facilities. The program includes 60 hours of lecture and skills lab, as well as direct client contact. You will be able to demonstrate skills in observing, reporting and documentation; and function effectively as a member of the health care team. Most Licensed Vocational Nurse schools and Registered Nursing schools require Nurse Aide certification as part of their admission requirements.
The Basic Life Support Instructor-led course teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both prehospital and in-facility environments, with a focus on High-Quality CPR and team dynamics. Heartsaver® First Aid teaches students critical skills to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until EMS arrives. You will learn skills such as how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock and other first aid emergencies. This seminar is not approved or regulated by the Texas Workforce Commission.
Seminar for Intravenous therapy
IV therapy certification for LPN and RNs prepares nurses to administer fluids through an IV. Texas has its own regulations regarding the authorization of licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and registered nurses (RNs) to conduct IV therapy. This course is required for certification. Most students are currently employed in the nursing field. Employers may offer these courses or sponsor the individual.
